Ruby came from the Regen kennel where the kennel motto is �Breeding for Excellence in Versatility� and Ruby demonstrated just that excellence by finishing her AKC Show Championship with 4 major wins and her CKC Show Championship with a Best Puppy in Sporting Group, by finishing her field career with AKC Field and Amateur Field Championships and wins and placements in all-breed and Regional and National Weimaraner trials, and, in September, 2005, by finishing her Obedience Trial Championship with numerous all-breed High in Trial and High Combined awards  to become the breed�s first AKC Triple Champion.  In addition she was the #1 Weimaraner in CKC Obedience many times with a top score in competition of 199.5 out of a possible 200.  Ruby was groundbreaking throughout her competitive career, with many other breed firsts to her credit.  She was the first Weimaraner to complete both the American Kennel Club Versatile Companion Dog 2 and Versatile Companion Dog 3 titles, the first Weimaraner to be awarded the Weimaraner Association of Canada (WAC) Versatile Champion title, and the first Weimaraner to awarded Weimaraner Club of America (WCA) Versatile Excellent 5 and 6 Ratings.  Over her career she has earned more titles than any other Weimaraner, with over 55 titles in the United States and Canada to her credit including advanced titles in virtually every competitive venue available to Weimaraners.

Ruby is approaching retirement from competition and will be spending lots of time lounging on plush dog beds and going real life hunting but her legacy will live on through her many talented progeny.  Ruby had three small litters from which only nine of her puppies ever entered competitive events but in competition her progeny have also excelled, earning to date a total of 12 Championships and 122 other titles.  

Ruby's breeding career has produced almost as many highlights as her competitive career: she is the only Weimaraner to have produced pups that have earned AKC Show, Field, and Obedience Championships, all three of Ruby�s progeny to enter a NAVHDA Natural Ability Test received a perfect test score, she produced Show and Field Futurity placing pups as well as WCA Regional Classic Derby and Puppy stake winners, all-breed field trial stake winners and dogs that placed in WCA Regional Classic Derby and Amateur Gun Dog stakes, 

all three of the WAC Versatile Champions other than Ruby are dogs that are out of her, she produced several dogs that have won many High in Trial and High Combined awards in all-breed obedience competition and two different of her offspring have won the WCA National Specialty Obedience Trial a total of three times with one of her pups High Scoring Dog overall at a WCA National Specialty Agility trial, and she produced two pups that have won CKC Best Puppy in Group, winner of a WAC Best Puppy in National Specialty Show, WCA Reserve Winners Dog twice, WCA National Specialty Best in Sweepstakes, and a WAC National Specialty Show Winners Dog.
